Dominic M. Sergi, Chief Executive Officer, Board Chairman
Mr. Sergi is a CES founder and served as Chief Executive Officer of Rex Electric, one of Chicago's leading commercial, industrial and institutional electrical contractors. Under Mr. Sergi's leadership Rex Electric revenues grew from $250,000 in 1979 to over $145 million, with 600 employees and strategic alliances across the Midwest. Mr. Sergi also founded Sergi Family Partners, a firm that owns and manages commercial and industrial properties.
Blaine Gilles, PhD, President and Chief Operating Officer, Board Member
Dr. Gilles has held executive leadership roles in a variety of energy and telecommunications businesses. Prior to his work with CES, he led a successful management consulting practice, providing firms with interim corporate management and serving as an advisor regarding business strategy, business operations, and M&A activity. Dr. Gilles also serves as Senior Advisor to Pacific Economics Group Research, an economic consulting firm specializing in energy markets. Prior to forming his consulting practice, Dr. Gilles played key strategic and operational roles in the development of a number of competitive technology businesses, including WilTel, a national fiber optic network provider, and was a college professor and utility regulator. Dr. Gilles holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from Michigan State University and undergraduate degrees from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Peter Schubert, Technical Advisor
Dr. Schubert is Director of the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis ("IUPUI"). A broadly skilled engineer with deep technical capabilities, Dr. Schubert holds 53 patents in the United States and Europe, and has published over 90 technical publications, and played a major role in designing the control systems associated with the CES Technology. Prior to his appointments at IUPUI, Dr. Schubert was a Senior Director at Packer Engineering, Inc., one of CES' strategic supplier-partners, and served as the chief systems engineer for the development of the CES system. Dr. Schubert holds a B.A. in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
